Applicability:

These conditions govern all services offered by Wingfoil School Guadeloupe, both for individuals and for professionals.

 

Practice Requirements:

​

To practice wingfoiling:

• Know how to swim 50 meters (certificate required for minors).

• Be comfortable in a marine environment.

• Provide a medical certificate of no contraindication for those over 55 years old.

• Parental authorization and minimum 10 years for minors, depending on weight and weather, under the responsibility of the parents.
   

Reservations:

Pricing:

​

Private session: 2 hours - €140.
Group lesson: 2 hours - €120; 3x2h - €320; 5x2h - 530€.

Includes protective equipment (vest, helmet, radio) and equipment. Does not include your personal gear, lycra, sunscreen, etc.

*Prices subject to change during the season, the display on site is the same.

 

Insurance :

​

• Obligation to have Civil Liability covering the wingfoil.

• Subscription via the French Sailing Federation required, 5€ for the daily sailing passport or 13.50€ if you think you will be required to take several courses over the week, month, or year. This liability is mandatory, necessary and essential in order to cover you in the event of accidents or incidents towards others.

We advise you to take out an optional IA (individual accident) covering your personal damage and repatriation.

Progress of the Sessions:

​

Schedules and organization decided by the instructor, the schedules described in the organization are intended to help you organize and make the most of your free time, but are not contractual. The intern must be ready and available for these schedule changes, otherwise his absence will not give rise to any postponement or reimbursement.

Modification possible depending on weather and other factors. We start the sessions from 6-7 knots of wind, piloting in light wind is essential for your progress and we are equipped with equipment specialized in light wind because it allows you to acquire piloting finesse.

In case of weather cancellation, possibility of postponement.

The appointment is fixed the day before your internship, by email, telephone or SMS in order to give you the time and place.

The time for personalized sessions/courses/courses includes reception, briefings, debriefings, preparation and navigation. The duration of the sessions can be varied to adapt to the weather conditions.

 

Cancellations and Postponements:

Possible postponements in the event of bad weather.

​

• Case of advance reservations: 30% deposit retained if canceled less than 15 days before, deposits returned if canceled before days of the first lesson

• Case of reservations less than 15 days before the internship or course: full payment, no refund possible.

Any lesson started after more than 30 minutes of practice is considered due, regardless of how the weather changes.

People who have confirmed their presence and who will not be present at the latter, except in the event of force majeure and presenting proof (injuries / death of a person / repair bill, etc.), will be invoiced for their session and will not have no postponement proposed for this one. 

Internships and course packs are nominative, any internship started is due in full.

​​If the number of participants in a group lesson is 1 person, the lesson will be transformed into a private lesson with no increase for the practitioner.

The price of an internship that is not completed in full is calculated at the price of the individual courses and not at the decreasing price of 2,3,4 courses. 

 

Liability in the event of Material Damage:

​

A financial contribution will be required from people who do not respect the instructions given during the various explanations, briefings or reminders. This contribution will cover the cost of repair as well as the discount for damaged equipment.

Although learning necessarily involves making mistakes, the material made available to you is our working instrument, any inappropriate behavior will be your responsibility. It must be respected and used as indicated by the instructor.

 

Image Rights:

By participating in our courses, internships or other services, you authorize Wingfoil School Guadeloupe to take photos and videos during your practice at school and to use your image on video media, flyers and website.
I acknowledge that I am fully satisfied with my rights and I cannot claim any remuneration for the exploitation of the rights referred to herein.

Rental conditions:

• Reserved for independent practitioners. The tenant certifies having the level of independent wingfoil practitioner and having the technical skills to make good use of the rented equipment in complete safety.

• Responsibility of the tenant for the rented equipment, in the event of damage, breakage, loss and theft as well as damage caused to third parties.

• Any equipment returned late will be charged extra according to the Wingfoil School Guadeloupe rental price list.

• Deposit of 1500€ and identity document required. This deposit can be used in part or in full in the event of breakage or material theft. In the event of breakage, loss or theft of equipment, the tenant must pay for the equipment in full according to the Wingfoil School Guadeloupe equipment sales price list. The tenant will be able to keep the broken equipment

• When returning the equipment, you must report any event that could have damaged the equipment. The equipment will be checked before the deposit is returned. Please also return the equipment to us, as far as possible dry and sand-free.

 

​​​​​​CAUTION ON WINGFOIL EQUIPMENT RENTAL:

 

In the case of a rental, Wingfoil School Guadeloupe does not have the role of evaluating the level of wing practice (and responsibility) of its customers and cannot in any way be held responsible in the event of injury, accident or death while wingfoiling with rental equipment.

Each person wingfoils under their own responsibility, knowing their level and the possible risks linked to currents, tides, weather, fauna and flora of the environment and the aquatic environment of Guadeloupe.
 

A rental is allocated to 1 person, in the event that the equipment is loaned, the school reserves the right to charge an additional service.

In the case of rental of equipment (board, wing, foil, etc.) without pre-reservation of a course or lesson, the customer implicitly acknowledges having sufficient technical competence to use the equipment he has rented alone. As soon as his equipment is taken into account, the customer practices wingfoil under his sole responsibility with regard to third parties and the equipment entrusted to him.

Under no circumstances can Wingfoil School Guadeloupe be held responsible and will not incur professional civil liability.

No refunds will be made for reasons related to poor conditions – or none at all – or unfavorable weather.
