Yes, for beginners, booties are essential on the lagoon if you’re not able to sail upwind yet. There’s no need to buy your own for lessons or rentals — the school provides them.

In Saint-François, the trade winds blow steadily for much of the year, making the lagoon one of the best spots in Guadeloupe to learn.We have equipment suited to both very light and strong winds. And if there’s really no wind at all, we also offer electric foil (Efoil) sessions — a great way to learn how to fly above the water without a wing!
